Awhile back I threw out the idea on facebook that if anyone had one of their out-dated iphones sitting in a drawer not being used that I was interested in using it for its camera. I have ideas to try different thing to see what sort of thing I can make with them. I got an immediate response from George offering his old iphone. 'What do you want for it George?' - 'oh I don't know you decide.' he said. A little while later he wrote back, 'how about doing a portrait of me?' So toady I made some portraits of George and he brought me his old iphone---which by the way looks brand new. I haven't tried too much with it yet but have discovered that the lens isn't as wide and for some reason records more than what I see in the viewfinder---so there will be a learning curve involved--but we'll see what we get with this one---its not as high res. as the new phone--so I'm thinking this might be one to really experiment with diffusion...we'll see. I made these pictures of George with my 'real' camera today. I've got more to go thru, but wanted to share a few quick edits today. SayerMotter Photographs by Richard Sayer.
