I am soon to have a baby. The guesstimated arrival date is October 9th. Above is a photo that my friend, Richard Sayer snapped of me in a sea of yellow flowers on a very hot Summer day. I really love this photo and will treasure it for years to come.
I stumbled upon this photo this afternoon while sorting through some of my picture files. The portrait is of Justin and his son, Colton that I shot about four months ago. I love to make family portraits! I often find myself leaning towards the moments with the Daddy and baby, rather than with the Mommy. SayerMotter Photo By: Harmony Motter
I recently photographed Stephanie. She is a senior at Maplewood Junior/Senior High School. I had heard it through the grapevine that Stephanie was the 'rebel' of the family (three sisters). So, we tried to give her a 'rebel' look. With a black leather jacket and a seedy, underpass near a local railroad station, I think we pulled it off. SayerMotter Photo By: Harmony Motter
Brittany is a senior at Meadville Area Senior High School. We had fun in the Summer sun while trying to beat the heat and chase the evening light. There is a set of railroad tracks that I like to go to for senior portraits. The setting is always perfect and the light doesn't get much better. Above is a picture of Brittany on the tracks. Aliesha is a senior at Titusville High School. We had a time! After a hop, a skip and a jump around Crawford County we came up with some beautiful senior portraits. The photo above is one of my favorites. Although, you would never know it from the smile on Aliesha's face...we were both lying in very tall grass that was infested with spiders and all sorts of bugs. Yuck! The photo was snapped in a hurry and I love it! SayerMotter Photo By: Harmony Motter
This is Kendra Turner. She is a senior at Maplewood Junior/Senior High School. Although Kendra is very much an athlete (competing in varsity softball, volleyball and basketball) she is also a girly, girl as well. Her wardrobe is extensive and include gems, jewels and the color pink. I liked this photo of Kendra because, it shows a softer side of her. SayerMotter Photo By: Harmony Motter
I recently photographed Kendra Turner. She will be a senior at Maplewood Junior/Senior High School this year. Kendra is an athlete! She participates in varsity softball, volleyball and basketball. Jeez...when I was in high school, all I did was hang out in the art room and I thought that was work. While talking with Kendra, I quickly picked up on that fact that she really loves softball. So, I tried to make some 'tough looking' softball pictures of her. Although, I have no doubt that she can be tough and kick my butt on first base. She had fun making tough looking faces, when all she wanted to do was smile. SayerMotter Photo By: Harmony Motter
I have to admit that I have spent more time behind the lens of a camera, rather than in front of it. But, yesterday was my day to be photographed and photographed, I was. I am due to have a baby in nine weeks and had asked Richard Sayer to photograph me. My sister, Sarahbeth came along to style my hair and she brought her son, Levi with her. I had also asked Squeeze the Clown (aka Sue Marranconi) to write the word "Imagine" onto my big belly. Anyone who knows me understands my love for all things John Lennon. I first heard the song "Imagine" when I was 14 years-old and John has been with me ever since. Now 21 years later, I am imagining my unborn child. Before, Squeeze the Clown painted on my belly, she offered to paint little Levi's face as well. He decided that he wanted to be a cat and this is how he turned out. Richard had an idea to throw Levi into a picture. Perhaps Levi is imagining his unborn baby cousin. Photo By: Richard Sayer and big belly by Harmony Motter.
Hi, my name is Harmony Motter and this is my pregnant belly. My baby is due to arrive in just nine short weeks and I can't hardly wait! So to mark the occasion, I called in my team of artists/experts. The team included my longtime friend, Richard Sayer to photograph my big belly, local clown and body painting extraordinar, Squeeze the Clown (also known as Sue Marranconi) to direct the paint applied to my stomach, my little sister, Sarahbeth to style my hair and my five year-old nephew, Levi to provide the comedy. We did it and it was wonderful! Above is one of the many photos that I will treasure for years to come. I have to admit that it was a totally different experience being on the other side of the camera.
I recently photographed Evie. She will be a senior at Maplewood Junior/Senior High School. Evie reminds me of a classic, all American girl. She is an active member of her high school's cheerleading squad, an energetic soccer player and a part-time country girl, helping her grandfather on their dairy farm. All the while, she maintains a sense of fashion and a boyfriend too. You go girl! SayerMotter Photo By: Harmony Motter
