I have a little beagle whose name is lil'bro. We got him after getting our first dog, a big lab/dalmation mix who really needed a companion, so we got him a little brother--hence the name. This beagle loves three things above all else, a soft place to laydown(preferably with a blanket), sniffing and food. Food is really king for lil'bro. We've had to limit his portions because he was--as good doc Stanton put it--becoming an ottoman. This, of course means when he is hungry and knows its time to eat, that he goes a little nuts. When I get up to let him out in the morning I will get his food ready as he is out. He then does his thing as fast as he can and then returns to the door and repeatedly throws himself against it until I let him back in to eat. Its sorta cruel on my part to take the time to take photographs of him doing this, but I documented it 5 or 6 years ago and thought to up-date it just yesterday. The little guy can still get some air! Below Java still chimes in too! Photograph by Richard Sayer
