One of the dreaded assignments we get in the newspaper business is this--there is a new piece of equipment, get a photo of it. I got such an assignment Wednesday and went into thinking all I'd get is a picture of the new playground equipment at the Lincoln Avenue softball field complex. Boring! Easy, but boring. When I got there I saw people playing on it and was extremely excited. I get to show the equipment, but more importantly why the equipment is important to the community. For the play and enjoyment of kids and their families. I shot many frames trying to show as much of the equipment as possible and the kids playing. This frame wasn't one used in the paper, because it didn't show as much of the equipment or the face of the girl. We used one where her face was concentrated and happy, but I did like this fame too and decided to share it here on this blog. Meadville Tribune photo by Richard Sayer
