My assignment was to cover a groundhog day event that probably, well...not probably, most certainly would not have a groundhog. I was not hopeful for a very good picture, but as I've said before, I love working in a small community and covering these kinds of stories. And even though I went into it with poor attitude, I found when I got there that the good folks at the Woodcock Creek Nature Center had some arts and crafts for the kids and they made these Groundhog hat/crowns. Suddenly I had a visual connection to groundhog day that I could wrap my eyes around and begin working to find a photo.
